Doubts and Disappointments – Love doesn’t always feel good nor can it be a constant state of joy. Reflect, process, understand and allow for disappointment without a moral wounding.

Alone Time – Respecting each other’s boundaries for a time alone is important yet challenging. Don’t personalize it or you will end up pushing your partner away.

Unsolved Conflicts – All relationships have some conflict that simply cannot be solved. Stop pushing for a solution and definitely stop relentlessly processing it. Strategize how to accept it, and work around negotiating around it.

Bad Days – You will have bad days with your partner, maybe even a bad week. Just like emotional and physical health, relational health will vary depending on external and internal contexts.

Sexual Challenges – Desire might decline. Sex can’t always be exciting. But remember you are in it together. Be honest with your partner and try new things.

Jealousy – Jealousy is a normal human emotion that will arise just like any other. Be open and address it with kindness and compassion. Don’t make wild accusations, or become passive-aggressive.
