Why seek psychotherapy?

At different stages in life we all face obstacles or challenges. With each there is an opportunity for growth. We are never given a challenge we cannot master. Some of the challenges that life may present are- divorce, career change, retirement, the death or illness of a loved one, interpersonal relationships at work and at home for which psychotherapy can be an invaluable aid in helping us cope with the given circumstances.

While psychotherapy does not ‘cure’ health issues, being in a better place allows for better health in all areas-Physical, Emotional, Relationships, Spiritual, Sexual and Financial. Connection and relationships are crucial to psychological health. As such, a working, therapeutic relationship is essential for a positive outcome. Trust, openness and collaboration are key elements to a successful relationship.

What is the approach taken by Mansi?

In a safe and non-judgmental environment, you will have the opportunity to discuss unresolved issues in a nurturing relationship which will mirror and support the process of exploration and change. Not only will it work to bring into consciousness the underlying forces and patterns that may continue to re-enact behaviour patterns from the past, but it will also deepen awareness and provide the ability to make more free choices in life as well as bring increased self-esteem, confidence and a will to change. Mansi strives to work with each individual, teen, and family, as a special entity with unique needs in a collaborative approach and utilizes various interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, ITP, and  Positive Psychology. Through the years I have helped various individuals find peace, hope and courage through psychotherapy. My work has involved couples and individuals looking for more sexual fulfilment or communication, battling infertility, depression, anxiety, grief, career challenges, anorexia, low self esteem, grief, deaths, terminal illness like cancer, HIV, fibromyalgia and various other issues we face in this life.
